I am a loving, caring, and compassionate, mother of two. I love the whole process of pregnancy, birth, babies and helping others. I have been fascinated with pregnancy since my own mother was pregnant with my little brother Taylor. I want all women to feel empowered about their choices and decisions at one of the most exciting times in their lives.
I provide emotional, physical, and informational support to laboring woman. I would help with comfort measures such as breathing, hot/cold compresses, suggestions with positions, and massage. I can also offer suggestions that can change the progress of your birth. I'm also there to reassure you and your family Also I can explain and point out interventions so you can better understand what is going on around you.
My philosophy as a birth doula is to empower the mother and her family to strive for their 'best birth'. While I know things do not always go as planned, I believe we can increase the chance of a positive experience by being informed and educated on the choices in childbirth. As your Doula, I can be as involved as much or as little as I am needed. I usually suggest we meet for an initial complementary consultation, where we can get to know each other a bit. This way we can discuss what services I provide, and you can communicate what you are looking for in your birth support. We can meet at a neutral location, like a coffee shop or a library, or I can come to your home if that is more convenient for you. Learn more about my services here!
